WMS Fall Festival

Yesterday we had Kyle's school fall festival...lots of fun was had by all. The kids come dressed in their Halloween costumes...Fireman Kyle made his appearance. This year there was a trackless train, and needless to say, it was a hit! Kyle rode it numerous times...at one point he even rode it 4x in a row so he could get in each color railcar! Kyle also enjoyed the bouncy house and some fishing and digging games. Once again, Kyle wanted nothing to do with the petting zoo or pony rides. There was also some silent auction fun for the parents. We came home with prizes, Kyle's professional class photo, and one purple and one pink balloon sword...Kyle's choice on colors there. (Kyle threw a fit when the purple one broke at home). The best part of the day is that all the money raised goes to the school, and it looked like it was a big success!

The first set of swords - pink and silver

All aboard!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday afternoon we headed to the local pumpkin patch to buy a pumpkin for Kyle and one for baby brother. Kyle was excited and ready to take pictures when we first arrived, but his attention quickly shifted to rolling the large pumpkins and attempting to throw the small ones. We are enjoying fall with lots of outdoor time and festivals.

Excited to see all the pumpkins
The only "posed" shot I got

Rolling a large pumpkin
Checking out the various shapes and sizes
With baby brother's pumpkin (and eyes closed like dad usually does!)
Going to buy the pumpkin
Dad having some fun
Kyle finally looking, but a bad pic of mommy
I told Kyle I had a pumpkin under my shirt - his response "ohhh"

The Unloader

Sunday morning Kyle helped me unload the dishwasher. He placed all of his cups and bowls on the counter, handed me the glassware, and even loaded the silverware back into the drawer. Turn up the volume to hear Kyle singing his made up version of the "clean up" song in the video.

Poppie's Birthday Bash

Tonight we celebrated Poppie's August 31st birthday. With 8 adults and 5 kids, it gets pretty loud and crazy, but it was fun as always. Thanks mom and dad for having us over. Below are some pictures of the "craziness" that ensued.

Once the snacks came out, the kids flocked to the table

Of course Kyle is not as interested in eating, as per usual

Shoe Fetish Part 2

Kyle still loves to wear my shoes - slippers, flip flops, flats and heels. The other night, he added his toolbox to the outfit and made for some really interesting pictures.

Popsicles

Kyle has loved eating popsicles this summer. We bought these push up ones in Destin and Kyle asks for them frequently. When Gavin was over, I gave the boys popsicles and told them to eat outside, sitting at the base of the tree. Now whenever Kyle gets a popsicle after eating a good dinner, he says he needs to go outside and heads straight to the base of the tree. Here are a few pictures of him eating his popsicle tonight.

"Welcome to Miami, Bienvenidos a Miami"

We had a great trip to Miami last week visiting Grandpa Buster and Lisa. We did lots of swimming in Grandpa's pool where, using Kyle's new swim vest with floaties, Kyle was able to stay up without much assistance. He "swam" to us and did a great job. We also made a trip to the beach, went to the Surf Club and saw Grandpa's cabana, went to a train museum, and ended our vacation with a trip to the Marlins vs. Phillies game. We also made the Miami news! While at the playground, Russ was approached by a reporter for an interview about a new city park ordinance. Kyle and I rode the seesaw while daddy was interviewed. In addition to all the activities, we also had lots of relaxation, which was much needed.
