Driving Mommy's "tar"

That's what Kyle tells me as he sits in the driver's seat torturing my dashboard. Almost every night we get home, Kyle hops right out of his carseat and jumps the console to get to the driver's seat. He pushes all the buttons, pulls all the washer and blinker wands, and tonight he even learned how to turn on the lights and brights. He turns the steering wheel like a real (crazy) driver. Tonight he was being especially silly, pushing the pedals.

Evening Mowing

Saturday night after dinner, Russ went to mow the lawn while Kyle and I were planning on getting ready for an early bedtime. When Kyle saw Russ pull my car out of the garage to get the mower, he got really upset that Russ hadn't asked him to mow also. We put on Kyle's PJ's and shoes and off he went to help dad. Here is a picture of Kyle mowing. When he came inside, he said "I need yogurt", so there is a picture of that, too.

Destin Vacation

We spent last week in Destin, FL with the Brock family. We all had a great time and the boys enjoyed the beach so much. It was Kyle's first time at the beach, and there were no complaints! Our days were pretty much the same with a trip to the beach after breakfast, then over to the pool where we swam for a while before heading up to the condo for lunch and a nap, and we would repeat the routine in the afternoon before dinner. Lots of relaxation was had by all. Russ and Kevin were able to enjoy a couple of days of golf and in turn Erin and I got some shopping in. Luckily we were not affected by any oil on the beaches, and the beaches of South Walton remain unaffected thus far. We were also blessed with wonderful weather. I've posted some pictures below, and you can also find more pictures and videos here.

A NEW Place to Call Home

While looking on HAR last month, I came across this cute house. Russ and I had been casually looking for houses, viewing only 2 others since October, and toying with the idea of having more space for our growing family. This house seemed to have it all...1,000 more square feet, a big back yard for Kyle, Spring Branch schools, and the best part, updated inside! We decided to make an offer, and it was accepted! We close on July 8th. It is still hard to believe we are leaving our beloved neighborhood and neighbors, and the house Russ bought 7 1/2 years ago when we were dating! Good thing we will only be less than 2 miles away! I've attached a few photos of our new house. I can't wait to put our stuff in it to make this house a home.

Kyle's 2nd Birthday Party

May was a busy month, and June has shaped up to be one so far as well. I have lots of blogging to do over the next few days. To start with, we celebrated Kyle's birthday with family on May 30th. He was excited to have all his family over and loved playing with his cousins. Kyle got lots of very nice presents (thanks everyone) and they have kept him busy. Here are a few pictures of the fun.
