Last week we took a 3-night getaway to Port Aransas with the boys. Their school was closed for inservice on Thursday and Friday, so we decided to head out to the beach as the summer draws to a close. We had a great time with beautiful weather and lots of fun in the sun. We were lucky enough to have the beach pretty much to ourselves on Thursday and Friday before the Labor Day crowds arrived on Saturday and Sunday. Kyle also learned how to fish on the trip. He chose his own Lightning McQueen fishing pole at Academy and he learned how to use it quite well. Russ also bought Kyle a Buzz Lightyear kite in Port A that we had fun flying. There were perfect kite-flying conditions, and Kyle had fun watching buzz soar through the air. Ryan enjoyed his first time to the beach...and even got a taste of sand. He got a little surprised whenever the tide would roll over him while sitting in the sand, but all in all he enjoyed himself.
