Photo session

Three years ago for mom and dad's 35th wedding anniversary, Sarah, Erin, and I gave mom and dad a gift certificate for a local photographer. This photographer did Sarah and Jeff's wedding and has done their family photos over the years. In October, the whole family got together to finally take the family photo we had intended. All of the pictures turned out great and it was such a hard decision. Below are the 3 we bought for ourselves.

Picture with Santa

It's been a few days since I've blogged, but I wanted to share Kyle's picture with Santa. The visit did not go as well as last year. Maybe next year will be better.

Merry Christmas!

"Liiiights"

Saturday we were in Galveston for Margaret's performance in The Nutcracker at the Grand Opera House. She did a wonderful job as one of Mother Ginger's Gingerbread girls. It was fun to see her perform on stage with her ballet company. After the ballet, we went to the Festival of Lights where we saw so many Christmas lights on the grounds of Moody Gardens. It was very pretty, and Kyle loved it, all the while saying "liiiights".

Yep, we're in that one, too

Mommy's little helper

Lately, Kyle has loved helping me do things around the house. All I have to say is "Kyle, do you want to help..." and he gets the chair so he can stand on it to help. He especially loves to load the laundry into the washer. When he sees me bring the basket to the laundry room, he runs into the study to get the chair. Here are some pictures of Kyle helping out around the house.

Even Kyle knows that most of the dust is under the dresser

Flashback Friday - Volume 12: Snow Day 2006

In honor of Houston's snowfall, today's flashback is of the snow storm in March of 2006 in Aberdeen. The group headed over to Duthie Park for some sledding fun. In addition, our good friend James is in town this weekend from Edinburgh, so the picture attached brings back lots of fond memories.

This and That

Today Kyle had his 18 month appointment. He is doing great and the nurses and Dr. CS were impressed by his verbal skills. Kyle got 3 shots, including the first round of H1N1. He cried, but got over it quickly. Kyle weighs 24 lbs. 6 oz. (35th%) and is 34" long (90th%). Long and lean. The nurse made Kyle a "sticker stick" for the ride home. We chose Elmo, naturally.

Attached are some pictures that sum up our week since Thanksgiving.
