"Welcome to Miami, Bienvenidos a Miami"

We had a great trip to Miami last week visiting Grandpa Buster and Lisa. We did lots of swimming in Grandpa's pool where, using Kyle's new swim vest with floaties, Kyle was able to stay up without much assistance. He "swam" to us and did a great job. We also made a trip to the beach, went to the Surf Club and saw Grandpa's cabana, went to a train museum, and ended our vacation with a trip to the Marlins vs. Phillies game. We also made the Miami news! While at the playground, Russ was approached by a reporter for an interview about a new city park ordinance. Kyle and I rode the seesaw while daddy was interviewed. In addition to all the activities, we also had lots of relaxation, which was much needed.

The latest

Here are the latest photos of the Gray family:

Kyle's playdate

Saturday Kyle had Gavin over to play while Gavin's mom and dad enjoyed some time without a toddler! They had splash time in the little pool, watched Russ working in the backyard, played in the tent and tunnel, ate popsicles, and did lots of squealing and screaming! It was a fun day for both boys! Pictures and a video of the day's fun below.

Unlikely Visitor

While Kyle and I were grocery shopping Sunday morning, Russ saw this visitor at the back door when he came downstairs. He called us to hurry home, and when we got home, the peacock had made his way to the neighbors. Kyle was excited to see this colorful bird!

Growing up too fast

Since we've moved into the new house, Kyle has taken on some "big boy" roles. He has a big boy bed, and now, he has a big boy seat. From the first meal we had here, Kyle has not wanted to sit in his booster seat, so he sits in a chair just like we do. He knows where everyone's designated seat is as well. It is so funny to look across the table and see him looking so grown up. Here he is hamming it up for the camera as he eats his dinner.

Saying "cheese", of course
Yum, black beans

Kyle's day with Aunt Kelly

Yesterday while we went to the ultrasound, Aunt Kelly offered to entertain Kyle by taking him to the Children's Museum. Kelly had been wanting to go herself, so this was a perfect opportunity. We left with Kyle crying out for us as we drove away, but Aunt Kelly quickly came to the rescue with some M&M bribery. Kyle immediately perked up and enjoyed the rest of his afternoon, as is evident in the pictures below. Thanks for making it a fun day for Kyle, Aunt Kelly!
