Why I love Thanksgiving

There are several reasons why I love Thanksgiving:
- The delicious food – you can stuff yourself silly for one day and not feel too guilty
- A time to give thanks with family for all you’ve been given
- An automatic 2 days off work!
- Football, especially A&M vs UT
- LBG #2 is due!
That’s right, Kyle will be a big brother this Thanksgiving. I am 12 weeks along and my due date is November 24th. We are so excited and can’t wait to add to our family!

Picture Day

In March, Kyle had picture day at school. When the proofs came back, we were like wow, they actually turned out good this time. We ordered a pose, and I am just now posting the cute picture. He is such a big boy now!

Mississippi Madness

This past weekend we went to Greenwood, MS for Russ’ cousin Carly’s wedding. The weekend started out great…we had a nice visit with family and a fun rehearsal dinner at which Kyle was so well behaved. He sat still and played with his cars and trucks at the table, hauling away some of the fat I cut off my roast. The only time he got up was when he asked to go to the potty! Saturday morning was a different story. Kyle woke up, said “Mommy”, and then got sick. After he got sick, he was a happy boy again, as if to say, “Wow, I feel better now”, but as the day progressed, and with each sip of liquid, he got sick…and sick…and sick. Finally by mid-afternoon, he was keeping down some Pedialyte and getting some rest. He was still not 100% at the wedding reception, but we were able to stay long enough to say hello and grab a bite to eat. Sunday morning we prepared to leave, had a wonderful brunch with family and friends, and headed to the airport, only to find out that our flight from Jackson was cancelled! We ended up driving the 7 hours to the Houston airport to pick up our car and drop the rental off before finally arriving home around 11:40 PM! Needless to say, not many pictures were taken on our trip with all the madness that ensued.

Flashback Friday - Volume 17: The past 2 weeks

We have had a busy 2 weeks with parties, Kyle's week-long sickness, and heavy workloads for both me and Russ. Here are a few pictures from Bruno's birthday party at The Little Gym and Nolan's first birthday party.

Easter Fun

We had a fun and busy Easter Sunday. We started the day off early with Kyle and found the basket the Easter bunny left. Kyle was excited to get some "tars" (cars).

After some fun with the toys, we headed to mass with Nanna, Poppie, Aunt Erin, Uncle Kevin, and Nolan. Kyle had more fun playing with his cars, then got a little wild and restless and had to head to the cry room. After church we enjoyed lunch with Gigi, Aunt Kelly, and Uncle Brent. Kyle had a surprise Easter egg hunt when we arrived. He did a great job getting all the eggs and had a full basket when he was done.
After a long nap, we packed up again and headed to Nanna and Poppie's for dinner. We were treated to another Easter egg hunt with the cousins. Everyone was excited and hyper. Kyle enjoyed playing with trucks, cars, and play phones. What a fun Easter Sunday!
